The U.S. urgently needs to expand its electric grid to connect new low-cost, renewable resources and improve connections in our fragmented grid.

Here’s what the Biden administration and Congress can do:

• Establish a tax credit to supercharge investment in transmission
• Ensure the federal government has authority to approve regionally-beneficial transmission lines
• Implement grant and loan programs in the Inflation Reduction Act and bipartisan infrastructure law that will support new transmission development and upgrades to improve resiliency
